Email preferences

This page explains what we send and how to change what reaches you. The controls themselves live in the emails, for the reason set out below.

What we send

There are two lists you can be subscribed to, and they are separate:

Changing what you receive

Every marketing email we send carries Unsubscribe and Manage preferences links in its footer. Those are the fastest way to change what you receive, and they take effect immediately — there is nothing to wait for and nobody to ask.

They are also the only way to do it yourself. Each link is personal to the address it was sent to, which is why this page cannot offer a single unsubscribe button: we have no way to know from a web page which address you mean.

Leaving one list does not leave the other. If you unsubscribe from Consulting Updates you will still receive Product Announcements, and the other way round. Manage preferences shows both, so you can keep one and drop the other rather than stopping everything.

Email you will still receive

Marketing preferences do not affect transactional email — a confirmation for something you asked for, a verification code you requested, or a reply to an enquiry you sent us. Those are answers to your own action rather than a list you joined, so they carry no unsubscribe link.

Text messages

If you gave us your number and agreed to receive texts, reply STOP to any message from us to stop them. That is separate from email: opting out of one does not opt you out of the other.

If you need help

If you cannot find one of our emails, or you would rather we did it for you, email consulting@matb.ai with the address you want changed and what you would like to receive. We will update it and confirm once it is done. For anything else, info@matb.ai reaches us too.
